Quick Homeschool Tip

When you're having "one of those days"  you know what I'm talking about... one of those days where maybe you woke up late so you didn't get your quite time with God; you didn't get to start your day right (in God's word and in prayer with Him) and your fighting as much as possible to not yell at your kids, but you're losing that battle real fast.  Well here is a little tip that will help.  It was advice given to me by my wise (and handsome) husband & by my dear friend.  Stop what you are doing grab all the kids and put some worship music on and sing and dance together.  Take that time to truly praise the Lord.  It's amazing how the Lord in His graciousness will just flood you with joy and carry you through your day.  So stop to praise and worship Him and don't forget why you are doing this.

Kindness

It appears that God is truly speaking to me about kindness. This was in the reading for my devotional daily Bible today. I love when God does this. It just multiplies my faith. Have a blessed day & start it right with the Lord so He can strength & equip you for every good work.

Proverbs 31:26

When she speaks, her words are wise, and she gives instructions with kindness. -Proverbs 31:26
Hi my good friend conviction it's so good to see you again.  When I read this verse tonight I felt conviction (that's a good thing just incase you were wondering) but I also felt encouragement and excitement. All day today it felt like I was constantly correcting the kids and since I am homeschooling my son who is now in first grade there was a lot of instruction thrown in there as well, but was any of it with kindness or was I barking orders at them every time?  Unfortunately, I have to confess that it was more barking than anything.  It's almost a natural reaction, but just reading this verse was an aha moment.  Like "oh yeah there is another way"  A more respectful way at that.  I'm memorizing other verses right now so I'm nervous about tackling another one, but I feel God calling me to memorize this one so I can pull this from my heart all day and pray fervently for God's strength to accomplish this.  Because remember...
Mark 10:27Jesus looked at them and said, “With man it is impossible, but not with God. For all things are possible with God.”
